Purchased this in a size 6 for my 3 1/2 year old daughter who normally wears a size 4/5. She's 39in tall and 36lbs; the dress comes about half way down her shins and the sleeves are about 2in above her wrists. There is also room in the chest for growth. We bought large so that the dress would last (she grows like a weed). She loves tutus, skirts, and Jack so she is in love with this dress!
