Our Favorite Way to Decorate for Halloween - Projecting Videos onto a Window
Looking for a fun and easy way to decorate your home for Halloween? Try projecting spooky animations and decorations onto your windows! It's a great way to add some extra atmosphere to your home and scare trick-or-treaters.
In this video, we'll show you how to project Halloween decorations onto your windows using a projector and a white sheet. It's a simple process that anyone can do, and it's sure to make your home the scariest on the block!
Here's what you'll need:
A projector. We purchased 2 mini projectors from amazon
White Shower Curtain - We purchased $3 liners from target
USB (if the projector you have includes a USB port) or a PC
1. Cut the white shower curtain liner and tape over your window (from interior) using tape.
2. Place the projector in front of the indoor window. Turn on the projector and focus the image on the white sheet.
3. Find a Halloween Video you would like to project. We chose one from Atmosfx
4. Play your favorite Halloween animations and decorations onto the white sheet. The purchased video should automatically loop on your USB. If you are using a PC, make sure you click on "repeat" on the windows media player.
*Note - we had no trouble with the USB for our second projector. We kept getting a "file not supported" message. Not sure what's going on, so we are using our PC until we figure out the issue.
That's it! You're now ready to enjoy your projected Halloween decorations!
For the Marshmallow Man video, we simple took a screen recording and used that.
