DIY Minnie Bows for Shoes – A Thrifty & Adorable Project! 🎀

If you love adding a little extra magic to your outfits, this DIY Minnie bow project is perfect for you! Instead of buying new fabric, I got creative and repurposed a thrifted dress with the cutest white and black polka dot pattern—a budget-friendly and sustainable choice!

What You’ll Need:

✅ A polka dot fabric (or an old dress like I used!)
Cotton batting for filling
Needle and thread (or a sewing machine)
Fabric scissors
A stencil for cutting the bow shape
Hot glue gun
Velcro

How I Made My DIY Minnie Bows:

1️⃣ Repurpose & Cut: I found a polka dot dress at my local thrift store and used a stencil to cut four fabric pieces for my bows.

2️⃣ Sew & Stuff: For each bow, I placed two fabric pieces together (outside facing in) and hand-sewed around the edges, leaving a small opening at the top center. Then, I turned it inside out, filled it with cotton batting, and sewed the opening closed.

3️⃣ Shape the Bow: I wrapped string around the center to cinch it into a bow shape.

4️⃣ Create the Bow Band: I cut a strip of fabric, folded it, and hot glued it together to create a sleek center band.

5️⃣ Make It Shoe-Ready: I left one end of the fabric strip longer so I could attach Velcro to form a loop that easily wraps around my shoelaces!

The Final Result?

Adorable Minnie-inspired bows that add the perfect finishing touch to my shoes—just in time to celebrate the upcoming Taylor Joelle launch!🎉

This DIY was simple, fun, and totally customizable! You can use different fabrics to match your outfits or even add embellishments for extra flair. Who else is ready to give their shoes a little extra magic? 💫
