4 Ways to Extend the Life of Your Little's Dresses

With the recent launch of Holly and Bloom's adorable Dani and Mae dresses, we wanted to make sure their beautiful quality lasts as long as possible for you! We know how precious your little girls' dresses are to them. Here are four easy ways to maintain the quality of your little girl's dresses so they can last as long as they fit!

1. Follow Care Instructions: Always read and follow the care instructions on the dress label, as different fabrics and designs may require specific care such as hand washing, gentle cycles, or dry cleaning. Avoid using harsh detergents or bleach that may damage the fabric or fade the colors. Make sure you hang or lay them flat to dry, and don't iron; use a hand steamer instead to get the wrinkles out! You can find them on Amazon for cheap.

2. Rotate Dresses: We know, we know. It's like pulling teeth trying to get your little to wear anything but her favorite dress. But as you well know, continuous use can lead to excessive wear and tear, fading, and stretching. Bribe her if you must, but try to encourage her to wear different dresses on different occasions!

3. Protect from Stains: Accidents happen, and spills and stains are pretty much inevitable, especially for active littles. To protect your little girl's dresses, try using a stain-resistant spray or applying a fabric protector to create a barrier against spills and stains. If the dress does get stained, you can use a gentle stain remover, or there are natural remedies like baking soda or lemon juice which can prevent the stain from setting in.

4. Store with Care: When your little isn't twirling around in her dress, proper storage is crucial. Avoid hanging dresses on sharp hooks or wire hangers that may stretch or damage the fabric. Instead, use padded or wooden hangers, or fold the dress neatly and store it in a cool, dry place to prevent mold, mildew, or fading.

Did this help? We hope so! If kept in peak condition, your little's dresses can be passed down to younger siblings or relatives for them to love!
