Ever wished you could carry a piece of The Little Mermaid's undersea charm with you wherever you go? Well, now you can, thanks to this fun and easy DIY project!

Using readily available materials from our local fabric store and a simple canvas bag from Amazon, we'll transform a basic bag into the lovable pooch who holds a special place in every Little Mermaid fan's heart.

Materials:

• White faux fur fabric  (for face)
• Grey faux fur fabric (for ears)
• Pink fleece fabric (for tongue)
• Black Pleather fabric (for nose)
• Needle and thread
• Fabric Scissors 
• Fabric glue
• circular purse (we got ours from Amazon)

Step One: measure the face of the purse and cut out the white fur in a circle that will cover the front of the purse. 

Step Two: This one's optional, but if you fold the tough in half and sew a few stitches it will make the tongue look more realistic. 

 

Step Three:  Hand sew the pleather nose onto the face.  Use black thread and sew around the edge of the nose. 

 

Step Four: Using fabric glue, glue the back edge of the tongue to the bottom edge of the dog face.  Then glue the ears under the sides of the white face. 

Final step: generously use the fabric glue to attach the face to the front of the bag.  Allow time for it to dry.
